A glance at the graph provided reveals some striking changes of the ways to take classes for a certain college students between 2018 and 2020. It is evident that the percentage of the students taking on-site classes has seen a remarkable drop from 76% in 2018 to 44% in 2000. The proportion of the students who take on-line classes, in stark contrast, has experienced a noticeable shift, increasing from 24% in 2018 to 56% of total in 2020.
With regard to the above phenomenon, it is of no difficult job to find out the behind factors. First and foremost, it was reported that most colleges chose to take on-line classes during the pandemic in case of the spread and infection of the virus. As a result, a large number of college students have to take classes through network this year. Besides, with the advance of students’ family financial situations and the support of grant policies, a growing number of college students can afford digital devices like mobile phones and laptops, which has provided the basic condition for them to attend on-line classes.
Also noteworthy is the fact that this circumstance is a profound one that reflects the diversity in not only the way of taking classes but also the means of modern education, which is beneficial for its future development.
